SECURITY

 OPERATIONAL SAFETY IN FEEP

As part of the corporate security and provided by FEEP Operative Plan, the planning management structured Plan of Contingences.  Analysis of threats, vulnerabilities and risks that may arise in the operation of the Ecuadorian rail system was considered in its construction.

In this process of determined preventive measures related to each raised risk and defined the necessary mechanisms to implement them. Worked on first aid, prevention – mitigation fire and evacuation, items dealt with in various participatory workshops held in Quito, Latacunga and Ibarra. Participants were representatives of the Institutions (National Police, Fire Corps, Red Cross, Civil Defense, Arm, Public Hospitals, Local Governments and Parish Councils) Immediate aid, and other.

After the disnosis made in Stations, operable parts, and FEEP installations, are available schema technical – operational, set for an immediate response to emergencies in Quito – Latacunga, stretches Riobamba – Sibambe and Ibarra – Primer Paso. There drawing the activities and established database for each case.

In addition, security elements are deployed and installed detectors, fire extinguishers smoke, emergency and security corporate industrial signaling lamps. This is expected to reduce the risk, protect goods, materials, equipment, infrastructure, the integrity of company staff and passengers.

We have designed the operational safety of accompaniment on track, as fundamental to prevent risks axis. In addition, as an strategy to complement aggregated values provided to national and international tourists holding us INEN, rules for decision – making in preventive and corrective measures.

General risks set out in all the sections for the definition of initial actions to prevent, are as follows:

.              INADEQUATE DISSEMINATION AND PROMOTION OF THE SYSTEM OPERATION

.              FIRE STATIONS MECHANICAL TEAM

.              ACCIDENTS IN TRACT EQUIPMENT AND WORKSTATIONS WITHIN

.              ROUTES IN BAD STATE AND TECTONIC FAULTS.

.              LANDSLIDES AND MUDSLIDES - STRIKES AND WORK STOPPAGES IN THE  RAILWAY.

.              ELECTRICAL TENDED AND CABLES OF DIFFERENT NATURE ON SINGLE RAILWAY.

.              FOOD POISONING – SALES OUTDOOR.

.              CONSTRUCTION WITHOUT PERMISSION AND INVASION OF LAND, OF FEEP.

.              LACK OF SIGNALING IN CROSSING OF MAIN ROADS AND ALTERNATE.

 

Operational schemes for various emergencies have been established. They were used for  flowcharts and tabs of procedures to run before any risk scenario. These will allow to assess the phases of the plan: BEFORE: stage of preparation, DURANTE: stage response and AFTER: rehabilitation phase.

It was implemented operational support of safety at crossings, which are designed to generate perception to the user, an effective,  efficient service and above all safe, definitely strengthen the corporate image of FEEP. In parallel, enterprise search on these operations, on the one hand to provide safety at rail journeys, and on the other hand, seeks to sensitize the community by the fact that according to plan, the service has been restarted.

It is important to point out in the action plan, we have specific functions and resources in the help Institutions. These are optional entities support to any emergency that occurs in the Ecuadorian rail system in the sections on operation.
